Sunday around the kitchen table "Belated International Women's Day" edition

Welcome to the kitchen, foodie friends! Another beautiful Sunday, another opportunity to share stories around the kitchen table.

But first I have to ask you a question.  How many can keep up with all the "National fill-in-the-blank" days?  I can't. I just can't. Every day we wake up is something to celebrate (as far as I'm concerned)  but now we need to celebrate something specific , name it, hashtag it and take pics of it. All my favorite foods have a day. Coffee has a day. Margaritas had a day back in February, Who knew?  Siblings, best friends, dogs, the list goes on and on and I wish I knew who makes up the list, lol! If you know where that list originates from, please share with me so I can be in the loop.

Well, apparently last Thursday was "International Women's Day" and I of course, failed to celebrate properly by posting pics of all the amazing women in my life. So, this post is a belated celebration of that day. Enjoy!

I have two very special ladies in the kitchen today, sharing cupcakes they enjoyed for two different events, but one common theme.. LOVE!

Look at how happy this little lady is with her Valentine's Day cupcake! Thanks to her mom Debra, Eleanor and her classmates each had a cupcake treat from my kitchen at their Valentine's party.  So glad I was able to make the party a little sweeter! Eleanor made sure to have a few for her teachers as well, who enjoyed the surprise.

Next up, beautiful bride-to-be  Lori enjoyed a few minutes of down time after dress shopping with her bridesmaids.  Thanks to Lori's sister-in-law Angie, my cupcakes travelled all the way to West Virginia!  I frosted them in vanilla buttercream tinted with a swirl of the bride's wedding colors.  So happy to see long distance kitchen visitors enjoying my baked goods. Thanks, Angie, for the order and for the pics of my cupcakes on a road trip!

I think I have just invented my own day - consider this "Belated International Women's Day" around the kitchen table. Thank you to Debra and Angie for their orders, and to Eleanor and Lori for being beautiful models! And thanks to all of you for taking time out of your weekend to read this little post.

Now log off, hang up and hangout.. in YOUR kitchen.

Love and blessings for a great week,
